In order to achieve this, we use top-quality yarns with embedded antimicrobial agents (not weak and short-lived wash-in treatments) that act to inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi, typical culprits behind unpleasant funk. Some adventurers are more prone to hot spots than others; and when the distance is great and the hours of slogging long, minor hot spots can quickly turn into painful debilitating blisters. As with lots of injuries, preventative maintenance is key, and our socks bearing the Blister Control logo are a healthy does of just that. A common misconception about merino wool, when used in socks or apparel, is that it’s best-suited for the cold. In truth, however, this natural fiber is more of an insulator as opposed to a mere “warmer.” When worn next to the body, It boasts an impressive faculty for regulating body temperature.
